In Livonia, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Michigan vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–6 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Livonia is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Livonia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. I usually go to the one in Canton but thought I’d give them a try. No regrets! I had a horrible experience at another shop. Called these guys and they quoted me at a better price. They did a thorough inspection and confirmed the repairs were necessary. It was a lot of work but they managed to get my car back to me same day! Only regret was not asking them about one of my seat belts lol highly recommend. I plan to use them in the future.

Had a flat tire, took it to Firestone Northville on Haggerty. They told me it was going to cost me $948. Brought my car into Auto lab the nicest “ honest “set of men you could ever ask for. $30 later I drove off with a fixed tire. Highly recommend…

Repairs seem to be okay. Very frustrated with service writer Mark. He was abrasive within the interaction, and then further escalated rather than trying to be conciliatory. The issue(s) were escalated to the owner Jim, who was very nice and tried to take ownership. Unfortunately, on the recheck of our vehicle, Mark also did the intake, had the same attitude, and even proceeded to make notes and make them audible "customer scheduled to have recheck on xyz, customer missed appointment, customer was rescheduled for another day, upon inspection blah blah blah". Uh, we didn't 'miss' the appointment. We called the day of and talked to the other service writer and asked if we could reschedule. A missed appointment would be some sort of no call/no show. We spoke to the establishment and rescheduled, and then made the rescheduled appointment. That wasn't good enough for Mark, as if he had to mouth off and make some sort of point? As if a customer would accept being talked to with that type of verbiage and tone, like he was highlighting that we did something out of line. It just seemed that instead of Mark accepting his first reprimand from the owner as a training opportunity, he'

I interacted with Jeff, reasonably competent. I was checking repair information against fax for a vehicle I purchased, making certain maintenance was up to date. I suggested some things I was unsure of as a small test, he did not attempt to upcharge me on those items to his credit. Service isn't cheap but service isn't cheap anywhere. I take a star off for one small problem no big deal and that prices industry-wide are getting out of hand. I would send wife daughter grandma there, just make sure they're flush with cash. Remember this is an industry-wide problem. I list them as reasonably priced but the entire industry is overpriced so take it for what you will. I think they believe in being honest with people and reasonable reputation rather than a quick dollar they look for repeat business.

Could not have asked for better service from this location, Dan specifically. They were very accommodating, timely and the price for a transmission flush was better than expected! AutoLab gained a lifetime customer.
